Sometimes all you need is a simple footprint, sensible window placement, and classic use of materials & scale. Timeless brick design meets subtle modern accents in this classy rural residence based in Upstate NY.
Simple and modest custom residence located on a remote parcel in the Northwoods region of Wisconsin. This project features a number of characteristics that makes it suitable for the cold and harsh northern climate. A compact footprint and minimal glass on the north facade helps minimize heat loss and increases HVAC efficiency. Meanwhile the south facade provides large windows to allow for solar heat gain during the winter months.
